Get to Know KND Services
Our story is rooted in family, community, and a commitment to quality work. Founded over seven years ago, our business was built on a lifetime of experience in tree care, excavation, and grading. The name KND honors our family, Kayla, Nathan, and Dustin, reminding us daily of why we do what we do.
What began as one man’s decision to take a leap of faith has grown into a trusted service provider across Kingston, MI, and Mid-Michigan. As a third-generation professional in tree and land services, we bring both tradition and innovation to every job. Our work isn’t just about cutting trees or leveling land; it’s about helping families protect their homes, improve their properties, and build stronger communities.
We are proud to support local causes, from honoring our late son’s school to raising awareness for suicide prevention. Giving back is a core part of who we are, and we carry those values into every project we take on.
Our services include tree trimming, tree removal, stump grinding, excavation, land leveling, and driveway grading. With each service, we prioritize safety, professionalism, and lasting results. Families across Kingston, MI, and Mid-Michigan trust us because we treat every property like our own.

In Memoriam of Dustin Esterline
Dustin Drew Esterline was a loving, strong, and talented son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, teammate, and friend whose spirit continues to inspire everyone who knew him. Born in Saginaw, Michigan, Dustin grew up surrounded by family, laughter, and a deep love for sports, craftsmanship, and community.
A proud student-athlete at Millington High School, Dustin was known for his dedication on the football, powerlifting, and wrestling teams. Wearing #79, he helped lead his football team to a State Championship and earned recognition as a 2nd-team all-conference lineman. Beyond the field, Dustin was a true leader who looked out for others, encouraged his teammates, and always found a way to make people smile.
He had a gift for working with his hands, especially in welding, and loved creating meaningful pieces for those he cared about. Whether riding dirt bikes, off-roading with Jeeps, working on car audio, or enjoying the outdoors, Dustin lived every day with passion and heart.
Dustin’s father, Nathaniel Esterline, continues to honor his son’s legacy by giving back to the community that supported their family. Nathan’s mission is to uplift local youth, athletes, and families; sharing the same kindness, encouragement, and teamwork that Dustin embodied. His hope is to turn loss into purpose, creating opportunities that reflect his son’s generous and determined spirit.
Dustin is forever loved by his parents, Crystal (Tyler) Childs and Nathaniel (Kayla) Esterline; siblings, Aubrey and Tanner Childs; his extended family; and a wide circle of friends, teammates, coaches, and community members whose lives he touched.
Those who wish to honor Dustin’s memory are encouraged to support local programs or community efforts that help young people thrive, continuing the spirit of giving that Nathan and the Esterline family carry forward.
